Our experienced service team handles pool openings and closings, equipment repair and replacement, maintenance, troubleshooting and other inground pool service needs.

Proper Pool water testing is essential for maintaining balanced water chemistry, protecting equipment, and helping extend the life of your pool liner.

Dale’s uses The Wave, an Optical Scanning Water Analysis System. It is a faster and a more accurate pool and spa water testing system. Just bring a 3—4 oz. water sample to our store, and our experienced team will test your water and help you select the right products to keep it balanced.

Pool opening

  • Removal and storage of safety cover.

  • Lower safety cover anchors

  • Removal of wall fitting plugs

  • Install ladders or handrails

  • Reassemble pool equipment and install return fittings

  • Prime pump(s) / filter and check for leaks

  • Up to 30 minutes of vacuuming

  • Add startup chemicals

For the best results, we recommend scheduling your pool opening at least one week before you plan to use your pool. This allows time for the water to circulate, chemicals to balance, and any algae or water-quality issues to clear. Pools that open green or with heavy algae may require additional treatment or service to restore clear, properly balanced water.

Pool CLOSING

  • Removal of any ladders and handrails

  • Remove wall fittings

  • Blow out pool plumbing lines to remove water, then apply pool specific antifreeze where needed for additional freeze protection.

  • Removal of pump/filter plugs

  • Raise and Inspect safety cover anchors

  • Install cover

  • Extra charge for oversized pools, fountains, waterfalls and deck jets

Dale’s does not install or remove water-bag cover or tarps. Plumbing winterization services are available separately.

Sand Changes

Over time, filter sand can become worn and less effective at trapping dirt and debris, reducing your filter’s performance. If your pool water is becoming harder to keep clear or your filter isn’t performing like it used to, it may be time for a sand change. Dale’s Pools can inspect your system and replace the filter sand to help restore proper filtration and keep your pool water clean and clear.
